Faster checkouts: Amazon Pay now available out-of-the-box for all Magento storefronts.
Amazon’s 300 million active account holders can now breeze through the checkout process with Magento Merchants. Shoppers who have their payment and address information saved on Amazon won’t have to type out their information to complete a purchase.
This should reduce the pain of mobile checkout and is a step in the right direction for trend #5 in the top 10 eCommerce Trends for 2018: “Mobile Checkout Overtakes Desktop Checkout.”
Better performing sites thanks to faster image loading and quicker search.
Magento 2.2.4 image loading is now faster. Popular search results now have a 36% quicker response time. These kinds of changes deliver higher conversion rates and encourage return visits.
Transactional emails with dotmailer
Merchants who use dotmailer’s messaging automation platform to create customized email communications and schedule marketing campaigns can now create their own transactional email templates. From the consumer’s point of view, this makes the path from product discovery to purchase even easier.
Magento Shipping capabilities have improved again. Magento Shipping is a multi-carrier shipping and fulfillment solution that combines intelligent automation capabilities, access to global carrier networks, and seamless integration with the Magento Admin/dashboard, including rates and returns.
