Magento, Insite and Sitecore are progressing towards leadership status, with a hat tip to Sitecore, selected among the providers “that matter most”, while Magento eCommerce was named as a “strong performer” and Insite was ranked a “B2B Leader”.
- R&D Matters. Platforms’ rankings improve when their offering, potential, capabilities and market increase, all of which is the result of improving and adapting the platform to meet customer needs and consumer behavior.
- The lines between B2B and B2C eCommerce Platforms may get blurrier in the future. As the eCommerce platform market continues to evolve to match consumer behavior and features, platform vendors are eager to grow into new markets to leverage their development and seize opportunity.

Forrester’s 35-criteria evaluation of B2B commerce suite vendors are scored in three areas: current offering, strategy, and market presence. B2C commerce vendors were ranked using a 29-criteria evaluation.
